1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

My spouse is possesed by a spirit. The word tells us that we are not dealing with flesh and blood, buut principalites. He is bipolar and paronoid schizophrenic. I don't want to leave him or forsake him. I am his wife. I do get tired in my body and my spirit sometimes. I have a ministry and the more that I walk in my ministry the worse his condition becomes. When that spirit arises, I call on the name of Jesus. I love him and I know what God can do. He had given his life to Christ when he was in Jail for domestic violence against me and was not baptized and from then on it has been a downward spiral for the last month. He needed to be baptized. Pray for my marriage as I continue to walk in faith and love.

I see this kind of dependency on US duplicating itself in the behaviour of some local congrgations looking to other 'respected' sister congregation(s)
and/or certain brethren for their approval on certain stand or decision.

They feel intimidated to do so to avoid being shunned or ostracised by the latter.

A case in point was the dictatorial behaviour of one small congregation in the Klang valley. The congregation was so arrogant and intimidating that
the congregation under duress was given a list of questions and statements of accusation to reply before further fellowship could be continued.

This kind of 'lording over you' mentality is also seen in the remark by one bible class teacher when he told the class, 'Based on the context, I tend
to agree with you, but please keep this within these four walls. If brother 'Superior' hears it, I'll be in deep trouble.'

We don't need to be fearful if we sincerely and honestly believe what we believe in after approaching God's Word. Even if we find our understanding
can be further improved on, it's part of the process of growing up. After all, our understanding on some issues 15 years ago, may not be what we hold
now. This is part of maturing in the faith.

But when we choose the easy way out i.e. not wanting to take the trouble and patience to search the Scriptures, we would therefore be easily intimidated
by certain 'Superior' brethren or congregation(s).

And about the latter, I just wonder where they learnt their behaviour from. Certainly, not from our Master!

I am very grateful to the Lord for giving us, the body of Christ, such a sincere and important food for thought. Indeed every true Christian will agree that the fear of the Lord is more or less the main issue of our call and purpose. May the gracious Lord God help us to arise to our responsibility of fearing and continuing to fear Him as He grants us further light to understand what THE FEAR OF THE LORD really entails.

May the gracious Lord bless you, Amen.

I say, AMEN, AMEN! Wholeheartedly agree with you. The same factious brethren are seeking self glory and in truth, do not have the integrity of a real truth seeker. Once the US power change its stand, he will change too. But this rarely happens as the US powers have much to lose if they change. The day of reckoning beckons!
