Perhaps you are mixing with wrong crowd. My fingers and toes could not count the number of young + not so young people I know who are passionate about mission. Your view may be true for 'frontier mission', still there are no lacking of Singaporean frontier missionaries via YWAM. Are your talking about Singaporeans or just singaporeans from certain group of churches?

Singaporeans can and should hear the call to foreign places, especially in Asia. The resources are available. Spiritual maturity is possible. What is lacking is a challenge to take ownership of the responsibility God gives each Christian: to be his servant sent out with a message of redemption for the lost. Let's challenge a new generation of Singaporeans to fulfill the Great Commission in their own Asian backyard and beyond. Though I am not a Singaporean, but an optimistic American, I disagree.
