Who will NOT get to Heaven?

Sometimes it helps to know “what is not” as well as “what is”. “What is” provides direction and focus. “What is not” provides us the boundaries beyond which are not accepted. We do this often in making Mammon. It is called performance evaluation.

So who will not go to heaven for sure? There are very clear statements that reveal the unacceptable spiritual states of certain souls.

Psalms 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

This is an interesting verse especially the part on “nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous”.

Have you ever felt out of place even though you are invited to a party?

I know many folks are uncomfortable if they have to wear coat and tie often. I may tolerate when it is a special occasion like a wedding but I certainly feel out of place if I have to rub shoulders with high society rich folks and their tai tais as part of my lifestyles. Even if I am invited I just cannot stand in such a congregation of people who constantly play one-upmanship, and assessing which part of the social ladder each person is perched upon! I will avoid such an event if I have to.

The door to heaven is wide open. The invitation is sent to all. If you are in heaven will you feel out of place because your character finds holiness “too holy” for your liking? Even if invited, some souls will exclude themselves because of their very spiritual nature. They just cannot stand the environment in heaven!

Who are such souls? Can you see clues as to who will NOT feel at home in heaven?
There are some interesting mentions in the list below.

Three interesting set of verses below. I highlighted some in italics, those I find very interesting especially the last one:

A. When did we not do these?

Matthew 25:35-41 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

B. Who will face death?

Romans 1:20-32 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God,
1.they glorified him not as God,
2.neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
3.And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections:
4.for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also
5.the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with
6.all unrighteousness,
7.fornication,
8.wickedness,
9.covetousness,
10.maliciousness;
11.full of envy,
12.murder,
13.debate,
14.deceit,
15.malignity;
16.whisperers,
17.Backbiters,
18.haters of God,
19.despiteful,
20.proud,
21.boasters,
22.inventors of evil things,
23.disobedient to parents,
24.Without understanding,
25.covenantbreakers,
26.without natural affection,
27.implacable,
28. unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death,

29. not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

C. Who will face a second death?

Revelation 21:8
1.But the fearful(cowards), and
2.unbelieving, and
3.the abominable, and
4.murderers, and
5.whoremongers, and
6.sorcerers, and
7.idolaters, and
8.all liars,

shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Those in italics are interesting, aren’t they?

Scary.
